Bijan Khezri, Group CEO and part-owner of Marquard Media Group comments:

“For more than two years, Marquard Media Group has been leading a far-reaching transformation process across its European operations, heavily investing into digital solutions in gaming, IT, and shopping. Marquard Media Polska remained the one company within the Group where print still consumed significant resources. In the past, we had completed a series of restructurings to fix the print business. However, our subscale position in a fiercely competitive market, heavy dependence on licensed titles, and an overall broken business model, leads us to make today’s radical rupture with the traditional publishing legacy so that Marquard Media Polska can fully take advantage of the Group’s digital transformation and grow our digital business. Following the launch of Act-2- Access, SCILL, and ShoppieGo this year, the Group is increasingly turning into a B-B-C solutions provider servicing and partnering with other digital media companies. We believe in the Polish market and are confident that the exit from print will now allow us to fully dedicate all resources to Poland’s digital growth potential.”
