Marquard Media Hungary introduces a new content production strategy to streamline the product portfolio and focus on two key thematic areas: Shopping & Style (JOY, JOY-Days, InStyle and ShoppieGo) and Modern Family & Health (ÉVA, APA, Gyereklélek, family.hu and Runner’s World). Playboy, Exclusive and Men’s Health magazines and related websites are going to be discontinued in January 2020.
The company focuses on building and strengthening its own brands created in recent years, i.e. ÉVA, Gyereklélek, Famiily.hu and APA magazine.
The company focuses on digital expansion and development of digital BtoBtoC platforms, like ShoppieGo coupon hunting app and soon-to-be-launched Act-2-Access.
Comments from Marquard Media Group CEO and shareholder, Bijan Khezri:
“We are proud of the focused and leading market position our Hungarian team has built. While business models have radically changed in the media industry, the importance and power of trusted content and brands have never been more evident and critical to building connections and transactional models. The thematic focus is a natural evolution tied to societal trends. But, more importantly, our rich heritage as a publisher uniquely positions us to build trusted platforms, leveraging content and brands that empower data-driven e-commerce. We are confident that our new solutions will be a force for digitalizing consumer engagement on the high-street (ShoppieGo) and empower any digital media company to more effectively monetize its assets (Act-2-Access).”
“We are focusing on business development stronger than ever. Besides product development, we will concentrate on the adoptation of innovative solutions by German and Polish group companies and their introduction in Hungary, and the optimization of Hungarian products for international markets. We review and modify our magazines’ frequency according to current market trends and demand, and reallocate resources to online content production, development of video content and product innovation. We carry on with the strong development and expansion of Marquard Media Content Studio, with a larger sales team and more products and services from 2020”, said Managing Director of Marquard Media, Óhidi Zsuzsanna.
Corporate social responsibility is going to remain a key pillar of the company’s operation, with its own CSR initiative called Marquard Media Cares.
